How often do we experience events which have a major impact on every single human being on the planet? Not an impact on a region, a country or a continent, but simultaneously effecting the whole planet. I don’t think I have ever experienced that in my life. Until now. Perhaps a pandemic is in fact the only thing which can bring the entire human population to an agrement on standing together.
The irony is that we all have to stand together – by not being together. Isolation and social distancing is the single most powerful tool we have to fight COVID-19. And that is universal.
But isolation manifests itself in various forms. It looks different from whichever perspective you look at it from. Your nationality, your work and your social status defines the parameters of your own isolation. Who will you share it with?
This project was made in collaboration with 14 photographers from 10 different nationalities. The following stories where all created during the global lockdown period of the Corona virus.
